Missing or Creased ShinglesList Item 1
Strongs winds can cause shingles to blow off the roof deck. Missing shingles lead to leaks and other interior damage. Adhesive seals that provide a water-shedding surface can break during those high winds and though hard to see, we are now leaving an opportunity for a soon or future leak.
Also, thin horizontal lines where granules have been worn off could indicate that the shingle seal was broken and the shingle was flapping in the wind rubbing against the shingle above it. To be effective against the elements, shingles must be sealed to each other as one water tight roof deck.

Divots On Shingles & Missing GranulesList Item 2
Hail can bruise a shingle causing an indentation that may be hard to see but will crack the shingle allowing water to infiltrate over time.
If you see a pattern of small indentations on your shingles or a large pile of granules at the end of your downspout, call us and we can assess any damage.

ANY Fallen DebrisList Item 3
Many roofs are filled with places that will leak only when water is not allowed to properly flow. This is very common on pitched roofs at inside corners. Fallen debris from small branches and leaves can cause a leak, especially in gutters or a downspout.
Clearing leaves and debris and allowing water to flow normally can prevent a future leak from happening.

Cracked or Punctured Siding
While durable, low maintenance and attractive, vinyl siding can be seriously damaged during a storm. The three most common types of damage sustained by vinyl siding are: cracking, chipping, and holes.
If your siding is broken or has holes in it, then it is no longer protecting your home from the elements and you will want to prevent any further damage to the interior of your home or frame.
